What are you most excited for during your study abroad semester?
I'm excited to explore the city, attend theater performances, and become immersed in the culture through my homestay.
What are three of your hobbies and interests?
Watching movies, taking long walks, reading.
What’s one personal goal you hope to achieve while abroad?
I hope to become more independent during my time abroad. Being in a foreign country, where I don't know anyone, will force me to learn how to solve problems and navigate life on my own.
What’s one professional goal you hope to achieve while abroad?
Through my internship, I want to work on my networking skills. Even if what I do in my internship isn't exactly what I will be doing in the future, my work experience abroad will teach me how to form professional relationships and communicate well with others.
What can we look forward to seeing in your videos?
I don't want my videos to just be filled with the classic touristy destinations. My hope is that I can bring light to the less-noticed parts of London. The parts of London that are key to the culture, but not as glamorous.
Anything else you’d like to say to people watching for the first time?
I would call myself even an amateur vlogger so bear with me. This will be my first time in London, so my goal is to give people an idea of what my journey was like--the ups, the downs, the misconceptions, the surprises. I want viewers to learn from my successes and failures and to get an authentic feel for what it is like to study abroad.
